FSC-certified
products come from sustainably managed forests. The certification sets
requirements for forest management, traceability in the supply chain, and
consideration for environmental and social conditions, among other things. The
FSC label can therefore be used as documentation that wood and paper products
come from FSC-certified sources.

EUDR
EUDR stands for EU Deforestation-Free Regulation and requires companies to document that a number of products traded in the EU do not contribute to deforestation or forest degradation. This is done, among other things, by mapping supply chains so that it can be documented where, for example, wood comes from and that it has been produced legally.
Our company expects to be covered by the scheme from June 30, 2027, and we are currently preparing for the requirements.
The Nordic Swan Eco-label
The Nordic Eco-label stands for the environment, sustainability, and health.The Nordic Eco-label makes it easier to choose products that protect the climate, are free from harmful substances, and are good for both people and the environment. Products with The Nordic Eco-label help reduce CO₂ emissions and resource consumption.
OEKO-TEX
OEKO-TEX is an international label that ensures products have been tested for harmful substances. Products with the OEKO-TEX label guarantee that tablecloths,
cushions, and other products meet strict environmental and safety requirements.
CE-marking
The CE mark indicates that a product complies with applicable EU requirements for safety, health, and the environment, among other things. The marking declares that the product complies with relevant EU legislation.
CE marking is used in several product categories, including toys, electrical products, machinery, and medical devices.
GRS
GRS (Global Recycle Standard) is an international label that certifies products made from recycled materials. GRS ensures that production is responsible and that chemicals are handled correctly, making it easier to choose good products.
BSCI
BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative) is an international standard that
ensures responsible working conditions throughout the supply chain. BSCI
ensures that manufacturers comply with reasonable working conditions, human
rights, and social responsibility, making it easier to choose products that are
manufactured according to their high standards.
The UN's Sustainable Development Goals
The UN's Sustainable Development Goals are a shared plan of action to eradicate poverty, combat inequality, and halt climate change. The SDGs consist of a total of 17
goals. At Det Gamle Apotek, we focus on the following: 3 - Good health and
well-being, 7 - Affordable and clean energy, 12 - Responsible consumption and
production, and 15 - Life on land.
Packaging Return
We comply with the rules on producer responsibility for packaging in accordance with applicable Danish legislation. This means that we register our packaging volumes.
PPWR sets requirements for how companies handle packaging, including
registration of packaging volumes and increased focus on reuse and recycling.
The aim is to reduce packaging waste and ensure that materials are recycled as far as possible.
This will come into force on 30/08-26.
Electrical waste
We are registered with the Electrical waste producer responsibility scheme and comply with applicable rules for handling electrical and electronic equipment in
accordance with Danish legislation and the EU WEEE Directive. Electrical products must not be disposed of with ordinary waste but must be handed in to approved collection schemes or recycling centers.
Batteriretur
We are registered in the producer responsibility scheme battery return and comply with applicable rules for handling batteries in accordance with Danish law. Used batteries must not be disposed of with ordinary waste but must be handed in to approved collection schemes or recycling centers.
